“I first met Genine in early 2008 when she was fresh to the Sunshine Coast and full of enthusiasm for the magazine she was about to launch - “profile”. Genine approached me about being the inaugural cover girl on the magazine... and even though I had a particularly busy schedule at the time, I saw something special in Genine and knew instantly I wanted to be involved in her project; my instinct told me she had the imagination, drive and sheer tenacity to make it work. And, several years down the track, “profile” has gone from strength to strength and is one of the publications everyone reads...this is all down to Genine and her vision. Many articles have been written about me, but this remains my favourite, as it was the most personal and really delved into ‘who I am’ rather than just ‘what I’ve done’. It was a wonderful experience to be involved in the first edition, and I still have people making comments to me today about that story!
Since that day, Genine’s path has crossed with mine on many occasions, and I have the utmost respect for her as a businesswoman and person who is contributing something of value to the Coast. I am such a believer in “profile” and its consistent quality and effectiveness, that I have invested funds into contributing as an advertiser to promote Amber Werchon Property.
“Profile” is an absolute credit to you Genine and you continue to maintain the highest standard with each edition, and provide something of interest for readers of the Sunshine Coast, informing us of the great people and opportunities we have in our community. It is inspiring, entertaining and first-class. Well done Genine... I think you should be the cover girl on an upcoming issue, you certainly deserve it!” - Amber Werchon, Principal, www.amberwerchon.com.au
“Recently I had the immense privilege of gracing the cover of profile magazine - a magazine I have admired from the very 1st edition. Editor Genine's high standard always ensures the magazine is uniquely enriched with the latest in fashion, food, event news and lifestyle trends; while generously sprinkling moving, colourful and awe inspiring real life stories of the women and men behind the Sunshine Coast's most successful businesses. Profile is incredibly supportive of local businesses and charities and every woman I know eagerly awaits for the 1st of the month for the new edition to hit stands. Thank you Genine for providing an absolutely gorgeous magazine, it should be national! I know I have heard from women around the state telling me they saw the edition I was in and thought it was amazing.” Rachael Bermingham - bestselling author and speaker - www.rachelbermingham.com
“Thank you so much Genine. I really must say that you are one of the most professional yet personable people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. “I just reread Alli’s story and was even more impressed than the first time – just great Alli! How you manage to get it down to the most important concepts like that is just remarkable... You didn’t miss a beat. You really are a very talented writer. Many thanks to you both and the entire profile team for making this all such a wonderful experience for me. It has been a total joy to be your cover story for October and I really appreciate all the effort that goes into making it a success.” - Jodie Hedley Ward, author, You Sexy Mother - www.yousexymother.com.au

It looks like your magazine is here to stay and we look forward to taking that journey with you.” - Paul Ferguson, CEO, Schultz Toomey O’Brien Law - www.stolaw.com.au
"I think your magazine sets a very high standard and I believe its positive stories about famous and highly worthy subjects keep it interesting and keenly anticipated each issue. Well done." - Todd Cranston, Juniper Development Group - www.juniper.com.au
“Well I for one am a huge fan of your magazine cause without it I wouldn’t be sporting a brand new set of straight, white teeth from Distinctive Dental .. Trust me on this as I was about to hop on a plane to Thailand and get them done there. I can 100% recommend Dr Makepeace and his team for any dental cosmetic work. Secondly and one very close to my heart is Fertility Solutions and a few articles you have run on fertility.
I am 42 and desperate to be a mum.. To cut a lonnnnngggggggggg story short after I read the article on age and fertility and kept seeing the ads in profile for Fertility Solutions I finally found the courage to make an appointment and my hubby and I have started IVF. Once again the quality of the service, information and support you receive is first class. I love your magazine Genine and I am looking forward to the next challenge it throws at me.” - Jodi Durkin, Regional Fundraising Coordinator, Cancer Council Queensland
“I LOVE profile magazine. I have subscribed through the online connection, ever since I returned to the UK, and reading through it makes me feel like I am still somewhat in touch with the Sunshine Coast and all the wonderful things happening there. It is good to come across articles by, or about, people that I knew while living over there and although it triggers longings to return, it also satiates a part of me that misses everyone and the place itself. I love that your magazine can transport me there and keep me so well informed about the goings on in the Sunshine Coast. I wish you all success with your future plans for the magazine." - Ruth Minoletti Skin Care International - www.skincareinternational.co.uk
“My name is Vicki Brown and I am one half of The Chef and I Seafood Cookbook. For almost twelve months we had monthly recipes in profile magazine before we launched our first book. I have met so many people who recognised me from these articles. It helped brand us before our book was even printed. I believe this helped our book on its way to becoming a best seller. Thank you profile magazine." - Vicki Brown co-author the Chef and I Publications - www.thechefandi.com.au
“To say I was excited to be approached by profile magazine to run a story on me was one thing, but to find out that you decided to profile me on one of your covers... Well; I was ecstatic!! It was such a unique opportunity to be V.I.P for a morning and have my hair and makeup primed for me, to be whisked away to a secret location and have two photographers and you Genine; making sure everything was spot on. My July 09 cover was distinctive because with a gorgeous dress; I wore with my (what was to become trademark) work boots. Initially, I was a little dubious about what the reaction would be, but I needn’t have hesitated, because the response was extraordinary. I already knew profile magazine had a strong readership across the Sunshine Coast and beyond, but I never expected the level of support, encouragement and congratulations that I have continued to receive, long after my cover went on the shelves.
My heartfelt thanks goes to you Genine and profile magazine for sharing my passion and values with your readers with such sensitivity and genuine desire to share my message. I have always looked forward to the latest copy of profile, to read about the inspiring women, movers and shakers that our wonderful region continues to bless us with. Two words; You Rock!" - Sam Sheppard, Buildmore Building Solutions Group - www.buildmoregroup.com.au, www.womenintobuilding.com.au
“When I first started reading profile magazine I was just amazed at the amount of inspiring women there are on the Sunshine Coast! It's just great that there is a magazine out there dedicated to sharing the triumphant stories of the everyday woman! I actually live up in Hervey Bay but love the magazine so much I get it sent up here and am always quoting from it or handing it around to friends to read. It always contains helpful articles and ones that inspire me to get out there and make the most of my life! Thanks profile girls! Keep up the great work!
I look forward to the next mag!” - Tessa Gyde
“I used to fly under the radar until my husband was speaking with Genine one day and she ended up doing a story on my business back in 2009. I had an overwhelming response to the article and could not deny the impact that profile magazine has amongst our local community. Now I gladly get in amongst it writing my little article, which I probably enjoy writing more than anything. I personally love the magazine (like everyone on the Coast – you have to be quick to get your hands on them), love the ethics behind it and the message it carries. Congratulations Genine on building what is an exceptional publication, your talents are endless.” - Linda Ireland, Mortgage Choice 45 Main St, Buderim QLD 4556
“My first contact with profile magazine was through word of mouth. People around me recommended it as a good read, with wide distribution. Meeting Genine and Nicole was a delight. They accommodated me with a profile, and even made me feel at home in front of the camera for a portrait shot to be included. The magazine is elegant to look at and is always inspiring to read. The articles are well-written, and cover a diverse range of topics and people. I'm amazed that Genine keeps finding these fascinating stories and bringing them to our attention. The e-newsletter puts a sparkle in my day, and I enjoy taking time to follow the links to the profile site for more information. I'm looking forward to more. Congratulations - I'm sure you will continue to inspire us all." - Sidhe Kin-Wilde, freelance editor
"I have read profile magazine for a couple of years now. Being a local business owner on the Sunshine Coast, I love hearing positive stories of other amazing local business women (and men). I love that your focus is on 'profiling' the person behind the business and that's a very big focus in our business too. I believe everyone has their own story to tell and when you hear of success they've created, you always know there is nearly always a story of hard work and often adversity that has been overcome to create that success. I love your magazine and always make it a priority to read it. You do a fantastic job. The magazine looks so professional and the content is of the highest quality. Thanks for providing us Sunny Coast women with this." - Sue Murphy - www.workingwomenonline.com
“I have previously expressed my compliments to you and your staff for the quality of word smithing and artwork in profile. As a general consumer I always enjoy reading your hard copy when I am in your area and otherwise via my computer. As a person well versed in marketing and retail I consider your profile magazine to be a darn good read. Keep up the good work." - Stuart Lawson, Oranto Investments Pty Ltd
“Congrats on two and a half years! I wanted to let you know that 'I love profile magazine', and I really look forward to each new edition. I think that profile magazine has been great for the Sunshine Coast as I feel that it has let other Sunshine Coast people get to know each other, and that it doesn't seem to matter whether you are from a local business or radio station, profile magazine has a a unique and genuine way of bringing everyone together in an everyday way. Keep up the great work and I look forward to reading many more editions!" - Cherie Hambleton, Co-founder, WALKRETE Concrete Constructions - email@example.com
“I had a feature story in profile magazine in April 2010. The story is about my journey as an artist - "A potters Journey home". It’s the first time I have had the raw story about my marriage and the battles I had living with an alcoholic for 21 years. The journey through and how making clay and being creative helped me through the most difficult times. I'm so glad that Genine saw the need to publish my entire story. It had such an impact in so many people’s lives. Within days of the magazine being published a very determined lady drove up from the coast to track me down as she put it, just to say how much reading the story in profile has helped her, she congratulated me for being honest and was inspired to do something about her relationship.
The phone rang for weeks after, I remember one lady leaving a beautiful message on my phone to say how touched she was. One lady I was told just this weekend still has the story stuck on her fridge! My mother told me she cried when she read my story which means a lot to me. Sam Sheppard said when the story first came out she was at the W.I.B house and a lady armed with the profile magazine came over to her asking where is the feature tiles of Cathy lawley's! I am honoured to be in such a prestigious magazine, and humbled to have touched so many people.” - Cathy Lawley - www.friedmudd.com
“I would like to thank you for your support of my new business venture and congratulate you on a fantastic magazine that inspires and encourages local business. Profile magazine was the first publication to place an editorial about the Bstring and I received so many enquiries, it was exciting for me to see how much interest that could be generated from one small article and has given me the courage and enthusiasm to go ahead in leaps and bounds. I love reading all the inspiring articles and look forward each month to a new edition. Keep up the great work!” - Christine Jackson, www.orientalblush.com.au
“The emergence of profile magazine on the Sunshine Coast has filled a void that existed for many years for discerning readers who yearned for quality, well-researched feature articles of interest, with a local flavour. Well done to Genine for her vision, her commitment and above all, her professionalism. Publishing is a hard game and Genine has established a name for herself and her publication in a short period of time, impressing even the most hard-nosed parochial locals. Well done Genine and the team at profile.” - Joanna Jones
“Every month I wait with baited breath for the arrival of the latest issue of profile magazine in the mail box. I especially love reading each month’s cover story on local and inspiring businesswomen (and the odd man!). It is fascinating to get an insight into these astute business women’s lives and Profile always seems to find and interesting angle, so it is not just another business profile. The magazines articles are interesting, inspiring and extremely relevant. It always has a fantastic mix of local stories, profiles, and business tips and really supports local businesses.” - Gina Fink, Director Savage Public Relations, www.savagepr.com.au
"Congratulations to the profile team, for your wonderful and surprising insightful local stories. I am proud to have been one of your first supporters and look forward to my copy every month. The editorials helped to raise my business profile and I still receive commentary from new customers about them. Thank you for your professionalism and advice on making the most out of each editorial opportunity." - Kaitlyn Akers, SCBWN 2007 Professional Business Woman of the Year
“I was lucky enough to be part of an edition of profile and I loved the whole experience from being pampered and made up to wearing beautiful clothes to the actual interview that I found had me soul searching due to being asked questions no one had ever asked me before. The whole process was incredibly professional but also a lot of fun every step of the way and I certainly felt like a princess for the day. Of course I had to buy the dress I wore in the photo shoot and ended up wearing the night of my wedding at a post reception party because I loved the dress so much that Genine had picked for me to wear in profile.
On a personal level, I always have a little squeal of delight in my head when I see there is a new edition of profile out. I read it from cover to cover and often learn things about locals I never knew even if they are friends or people who I thought I knew many things about. I love the fashion section and love that it is all local and such a high standard with beautifully written articles and stunning photos. Well done Genine and team!” - Sami Muirhead, Hot 91.1 Sunshine Coast
“Profile magazine has become nothing short of a ‘must-read’ for all women living on the Coast... It inspires, empowers and educates by giving so much value to its readers each month. Profile is a rare and unique success story led by a woman who is deeply passionate about every aspect of her business.
