Have you BEAN?
Wondering where to find the best-o espresso? Here are some of my favourite spots for Coastal caffeine.
Little Sisters Coffee Co.
Little Sisters is home to my favourite coffee blend, Magneto Espresso by Clandestino Roasters in Noosa, an organic blend with rich cocoa and undertones, and a smooth and nutty finish. They also use Barambah Organics milk, so you’re supporting three local businesses with every delicious sip!
3/96 Aerodrome Road, Maroochydore
Dedicated to producing delicious dishes using fresh and seasonal local produce, this extends to their coffee offerings, supporting Flying West coffee roastery near Noosa (which can also be found at Eumundi Markets). I also recommend popping into the adjoining Vitality Wholefoods store to pick up some healthy snacks while you wait for your morning brew.
9/1 Old Gympie Road, Yandina
Not only does Elliotts know how to make a smashing coffee with locally-roasted Kai Coffee in Caloundra, they have a delicious breakfast menu to boot. Or if you’re after a grab-and-go, their delicious coffee is served in Biocup’s Art Series, which means your beverage looks as good as it tastes!
102/98-110 Alexandra Parade, Alexandra Headland
Lamkin Lane Espresso
Lamkin Lane Espresso Bar offers five choices of coffee at any given time, including the Lamkin Lane house blend (developed exclusively for the espresso bar), Tim Adams Specialty Coffee Seasonal Blend and three single-origin coffees which change weekly and are sourced from either a farm or micro-region in one particular country.
31 Lamkin Lane, Caloundra
Another one of my favourite blends is Mambo Red, roasted in Mooloolaba, and poured to perfection at Pallet Espresso Bar. It is a slightly stronger, smooth, full bodied blend suited to milk-based espresso drinks. If you’re a bit peckish, there are always sweet treats made fresh by The Sausage Roll Co on offer including my favourite – gluten free white chocolate brownie sandwiches!
