Rebecca Woolgrove and Donna Mills are emergency doctors, just returned from a 6-month stint of volunteering in Fiji. They've decided to fund a research position there as research doesn’t exist at all currently. Makes you realise how lucky we are, when every single bit of medicine used here in Australia is all evidence based, with millions of dollars being spent on research every year.
Buying a ticket to a really fun event with great food is ample support and we won’t be asking for donations on the night (though of course they’d be welcome). There will be a silent auction and a raffle which people can participate in only if they’d really like the items available. No pressure – the night’s aim is for fun with friends and to acknowledge how lucky we are here in Australia.
The Canape Project is donating delectable canapes and the drinks will be sponsored by InsuranceWorks (Rachael Yurko), so all proceeds of ticket sales will go toward the funding.
PRICE IS $60 PER TICKET.
