The festive season is a time for celebration and what better way to entertain the crowds than over a cold one? Here’s a list of some of the Sunshine Coast’s best pubs. New and old, we have got you covered over the silly season and well into the new year!
The Imperial Hotel, Eumundi
The iconic hotel has been one of the Sunshine Coast’s best pubs amongst locals and tourists since opening its doors in 1911. While it’s one of the oldest pubs in Eumundi, the majestic Queenslander offers a new trendy vibe with colourful murals and a large sweeping verandah looking over the creative hub. The pub even brews its own lager and pale ale, so it’s definitely a must do when you are in town.

A night away to a slightly outback small town, more off the beaten track country pub, not as rural as I’ve been to before, but it def has that small town charm #yandina #yandinapub #sunshinecoast #weightwatchers #ww #weightwatchersaunz #wwaunz #smartpoints #wwsmartpoints #munlins19 #munlin2019 #diet #weightloss #weightlossjourney #foodprep #healthyfood #journeytomunro #weddingplanning #shreddingforthewedding #wwdiary #wwfamily #wwapp #wwbreakfast #wwlunch #wwsnacks #wwdinner #wwtracking #loveyourself #balance #countrypub
The oldest hotel on the Coast is undergoing some exciting changes… So it might be a good time to pop in and enjoy some country hospitality while relaxing in the ambient surroundings. Make sure you head down with an empty stomach because there’s an extensive range of meals to pair with a drop of beer, wine or spirits.
Rick’s Garage Diner
A buzzing meeting place in Palmwoods that will transport you back to the ‘50s. The walls and ceilings are plastered with old school posters and memorabilia. The venue dates back to 1922 when it was originally a mechanical workshop before transforming into a diner a few years later. The diner is kid-friendly so make sure you pop in for milkshakes and super-sized burgers. Yum!
Pour your own beer at Taps Mooloolaba! The casual and relaxed bar captures the sea breeze in Mooloolaba, making it a central location to meet up with some friends or enjoy afternoon work drinks. The eclectic grunge setting offers fun games and great food and an even better beer.
Uptown Gastropub Maroochydore
Relatively new but already one of the Sunshine Coast’s best pubs, Uptown combines contemporary design and an industrial look and feel. It’s in the heart of Maroochydore, so it’s easy venue to call into and grab yourself a scrumptious bite to eat.
This picturesque historic pub and property dates back to the 1800s. Apollonian Hotel offers a delicious bistro but it’s best known for its iconic Sunday spit roast! Located about 20 minutes from Noosa Beach, the venue allows kids to run wild, while you kick back and relax.
There’s no better way to cool off on a hot summer’s day than with a cold drink overlooking the water. The Brightwater Hotel offers just that; waterfront hospitality along the stunning lakeside. It provides a variety of entertainment for the whole family, too!
